18th Century pirates and other persons of interest...all 28mm metal miniatures recently painted by me.
The first figure is a "NOT Jack Sparrow", made by Footsore Miniatures and cunningly named "John Finch" on their website. I'm not sure on the make of all the others but I believe there are figures from North Star & Wargames Foundry in the mix.
I hope you like them.

A brief interlude from the nautical theme...
Three sets of knights from Curteys range of 28mm Tournament Knights. Each set has sheets of decals for shields, horses & tabards. Some of the tabards I painted freehand as the decals were just too fiddly to apply due to crossbelts & creases. My friend Barrie is doing his own basing for these.

More of the characterful miniatures in 28mm from North Star - "Royal Navy Crew" boxed set. These were great fun to paint, and I'm sure they will give pirates a run for their money. The "AR" on the marine's mitres puts them in the time of Queen Anne. I like the spiffy outfit of Marine Lieutenant John Wittington and his wig. Huzzah!
I have a special new camera on the way that my wife has purchased for me, it looks ideal for showcasing miniatures and sharing what I'm painting & how I paint it. Who knows, I may even end up making YouTube videos, and it should be useful for Google Hangouts. The camera can be found here: https://huehd.com/pro/
I first saw it on James Wappel's blog, he was going to use it to give online painting tutorials - Mr Wappel knows his stuff.
